You are right about Blue Sky being too secretive on valuations. It would be better if there was an independent valuer entirely to give fair valuations on all their investments each year rather than using the Directors valuations checked by KPMG. They say they dont want to do it because it might impact on the sales price or IPO when they realise the investments. This is a weak argument as valuations will be done at this time anyway.
