So far $1.3billion has been wiped of the bid value of the GNC shares. But it is worse than that because Joe all by himself has elevated Labor to the position of being the only political party that champions private property and free enterprise. Not bad for a morning's work. But it gets worse, by allowing ADM to go to almost 25% he has handed de facto control to these "evil foreigners". ADM can block any special resolution, vote in their own directors, thwart any takeover and start looking at discounted rights issue etc.
A real win for Australians ...
