Im a dinosaur and drive a 20 year old diesel so oblivious to the Adblue issue. Is there a possibility to reprogram the more modern diesel computers so you can run the diesel engine without Adblue? (And without putting in a new chip?). From my very limited knowledge of Adblue and similar additives, it is only to strip out nasties like nitrous oxide. Surely we can run a diesel fleet without Adblue in an emergency, or were the engineers a little too smart and incorporated a design flaw that cannot be bypassed?
