I am pretty sure the banks on the FTSE rallied when they lifted...

    I am pretty sure the banks on the FTSE rallied when they lifted the ban.

    I am not sure whether people closed their positions prior to the ban, if they did we would have a seen a massive short covering rally which we did not see prior to the ban.

    I am thinking that many would still need to take profits on any short positions which could in turn cause a short covering rally.

    Any other thoughts?
