I dont understand how this helps the UK government, it makes...

I dont understand how this helps the UK government, it makes energy less accessible which will result in higher energy costs and i doubt renewable source will be built at a fast enough rate to justify the higher costs? Sure every country has signed off on reducing emissions but i dont think we would be even close to our targets without buying these "credits" or whatever the system is...

I mean sure the government gets money into their coffers but they will lose tens of thousands of jobs as a result... No one really wins?
