To be fair the fundemental opportunity looked good. Lots of elements out of the companies control has moved against them. It was (and still is - imo) a decent 'speculative' investment, with a very good risk/reward. You need to be willing to lose anything however (as with any speculative investment) - otherwise just buy CBA.
