simpson 8 announcement
At 6:00 am today, the Simpson-8 well has drilled to a depth of 1,244 metres measured depth and will continue to drill ahead to the planned total depth of 2,090 metres measured depth.
The Simpson-8 well is being drilled from the Simpson Bravo platform as a sidetrack from Simpson-1. The well is designed to appraise an additional drainage point for oil not accessed by current wells in the Simpson Field.
The Simpson-8 well is expected to take 2 days to reach its prognosed total depth. If successful the well will be immediately brought onto production.
