Anyone who buys gold (or gold producers) should know that gold prices are usually inversely related to interest rates, 10 year treasury bonds, and US economy growth right ??
Gold spot prices have been going down but its the falling aussie dollar thats doing the buffering and so hence SP hasn't really been tanking but just drifting lower and lower..
If you look at my earlier post about NST posting $183.2M from 106Koz sold, it was sold equivalent of US$1300/oz...and its definitely not US$1300/oz now.
