Bollinger bands are really tightening up on the HUI Gold ratio which could signify a strong break up or down pretty soon. Increases in the HUI Gold ratio are seen when gold stocks outperform the gold price (this is when gold stock investors make good money). There is a possibility that we are near the money end of a very long inverted head and shoulders pattern on the HUI GOLD ratio, in which case we could soon see gold stocks strongly outperforming the gold price for a period of 6 to 12 months.
