Miningnut I think you may be right, pure speculation on my part but it does make sense.

Bill was meant to present at the mining conference in Perth a few days back, he leaves for the Congo at short notice instead. There are no problems I'm aware of so I speculate it was to secure the much talked about deal so he could follow up the amazingly bullish Haywood report with a new deal (and hopefully another resource increase) and in time for announcement in Toronto tonight.

He's flying direct from Congo to Toronto I believe.

Don't hold it against me if it doesn't happen.
