As soon as you run historical projections or spread analysis you incorporate TA. Ignore what your perception of TA is from the HC forums, it isn't that at all.
TA looks at all data from share price and volume to other historical data sets such as pe projections, commodities prices, sector analysis. To think TA is about a chart showing share price and nothing else is wrong.
