That would be my take on it, vote on the new regs won't happen before the election next year imo.
This is good news. Status quo remains and any roadblocks in the bureaucracy that have been created at present due to the uncertainty of when and what will actually be introduced, will be gone. If there is a change in govt next year, regs may be gone forever or a watered down version may be introduced in late 2015, who knows. Mind you, the regs weren't that hideous at all but the potential introduction of any new government rules and regs (and these regs have been on the table and being debated for a few years), does slow things up for the people who are charged with implementing policy - the bureaucrats.
So good news. I'm sure Luis has already briefed the Chair and MD and as TP said at the AGM, Luis is in the offices of the regulators and bureaucrats every week. Hope he is now focused on getting the rubber stamp on our full mining licence.
