Interesting comment Turville. We could not care less about pollution either until we became wealthy. Now we dictate to others about pollution?? The Indians have every right to drag their people out of poverty - perhaps we can make up for our sins by cutting back on "pollution" to allow the Indians to do just that? But I suspect the economic costs will be too great and politically unpalatable.

It might be worthwhile doing a bit of research on Africa, India and China in terms of coal and what their plans are.
