I only suggested it for the sake of completeness. Sovereign risk is always a consideration. Who knows what might happen. Before long some special interest group emerges bleating about poverty, healthcare, etc. and starts waxing lyrical about foreigners raping our natural resources. Happens everywhere. Mining super taxes were proposed in Australia.
The Salar might suffer a volcanic eruption, direct hit from a meteor (or two), and then...what about aliens? Might like a bit of lithium.
