    Hi rusty02
Herevis another report from Mckinsey Consultants that puts the different types of Ni into prospective and the limited amout of Ni available to be processed into Ni Sulphates. In this report only 350Kt presently of the 2Mt of Ni produced annually is suitable for conversion to sulphates. But of this 350Kt it is also sought after by other specialty nickel users.

Good report that shows that plants proposed by AUZ, CLQ and ARL are required for the EV industry to progress.
To put it into prospective about the impact the Nickel West event has on the EV industry, Nickel West produced 90Kt last year of the 350Kt of Ni that can be processed into Ni sulphates. Of that 90Kt , as per the other article Invis posted, 60% goes into the battery industry. Whatever way you look at it big %'s of available Ni are now missing from the EV batt supply chain until Ni West gets back up and running.
Events of production losses like this can send shocks into the industry and make them sit up and realise that other production sources are required to mitigate these events.
