RBA, SP3 cheers for the lines of thought. You have to consider every avenue as it’s fairly busy behind the scenes in the industry I suspect.
Depending on what report you read Victoria has around 39 billion tonnes of recoverable brown coal. Reports state that Yallourn and Hazelwod will run until a bit after 2030 so this does raise the question regarding exploration leases… I agree with you RBA that it would make sense that ESI has a secured interest so I am curious how Con will play this as he who holds the resource can choose the technology and bear in mind the gap between technologies will close over the years…..perhaps the new director(s) may have something to do with it? But I doubt.
However it unfolds, it’s likely to get very political-something Con is familiar with.
