Get your head out of the clouds buddy. The fact is, CATL is going to have 50gw of capacity by 2020.
In 2020, Magnis will barely have broken the dirt at the site of the European and Townsville factories. If you think the tech will still command those ridiculous prices in 2028 when you guys finally ramp up to max capacity, you're dreaming.
The reality is CATL got that (over)valuation for being a first mover. That is all.
We won't even mention the fact that the $14.7B valuation was set because of a tiny 1.19% purchase of the company. Someone wanted in and took less than favorable terms in my opinion.
