....."TP never claimed that AS was going to be a long-term mine. It was only ever spoken of as a very small DSO operation. Then along came the once in a generation deal with Xstrata. If they had dropped everything and dug up AS then what now? Potentially there would be no PB, no BlackRock, none of the new tenements added, no Banco V, no Brazilian directors etc. In other words, we would be back-door listing as a tech company"........
Hi G_A....A back door listing as a tech company might be more rewarding for shareholders?
If they had "dropped everything and dug up AS" they may have been masters of their own destiny as TP eluded to in the BRR interview Feb 19 2010....

I and many others took positions in AVB during that year and IMO the money was made btwn Sept 2010 and Jan 2011...(Just ask Matthew Wood)
AVB was going to be the 2nd copper producer in the Carajas 4 years ago and gain credibility/leverage to acquire some of the smaller properties (thanks to govt pressure to use it or lose it) that the Majors were holding.
Dunno what happened behind the scenes, but AVB was unable to follow up and instead "sold out" (IMO) with the first of several dilutionary placements (200m shares at 10cps).
Now,instead of an exciting, progressive near term producer in the Carajas, there is a long, agonising, drawn out process which has seen no increase in shareprice for 3.5 years.....Talk about opportunity cost of capital!.....I would hope that long termers Kalenn, farlap, kingkev, poet plus, ajostu etc have been trading this along the way!
Historically,AVB has missed virtually all deadlines (easy to verify) and strung shareholders along IMO and have not shown the ability to deliver...I hope it's "different this time"!....You guys'n'gals who have kept the faith in this company deserve high reward!!!....
Agent Cooper....Whilst I agree with much of what you post,I cannot for the life of me understand why you'd spend so much time doing so?...Are you not quite "right in the head"?
Cheers
