I found this, which may be of interest as it refers to both PTO and mooring permutations.

One thing that puzzles me, is that after all these years you would think that they would have just about exhausted all the different possible ways of mooring the various devices to the sea floor?
Still, the professor has been at it since 2008, perhaps his patent is the one that will suit our technology the best.
