The forthcoming CTAP trial WILL be sponsored ie, paid for, by the FDA; no commercial partner required. CTAP is an FDA program of which they run all facets, and pay for as well.
But it certainly will attract a commercial TO/partner. The big guns will already be well aware of BIT225, if only from their CTAP application. Every big pharma have a team of lookouts for new drugs/opportunities/competitors. So it is not unrealistic, as mentioned above by others, that a commercial partner is in discussions already, but not for the CTAP trial.
My guess is that things are going to move so quickly from here that it will catch out a lot of BIT critics. First, we'll get the CTAP acceptance letter in the mail very soon, after the recent new trial results that were probably instigated by the FDA. Since they were positive, CTAP acceptance is now a sure thing......... so says batty.
Once done, Biotron will slowly but surely make headline news....... but the big one will come when/if the CTAP trial results are also positive. From a trading perspective, we can expect plenty more moving news: commercial partner being the obvious one. Biotron's HIV success to date is going to add tremendously to the TO/partnership, and the whole compound library etc.
