You are correct to say that Oz has equivalent resources that equal what have been discovered in Cameroon.

What you have not mentioned is that currently Iron Ore is dominated by the big 3 in Oz, namely FMG, BHP & RIO. China would like to have more suppliers to select from, in an attempt to keep them honest.

By opening up Cameroon, it completely changes the ball game.

Recently BHP almost took over RIO, that would have narrowed the supplier base even more. This merger (or similar partnerships) are still possible in the future.

China is aware of this is so are other countries.

Bring on 2010 and lets get this show on the road SDL Management, I'm starting to get sick of waiting! Where's our drilling results!
