Savings accounts preserve capital and pay interest. I hope TLS goes up in price, because for every 1c loss of capital gain, it lessens by 1c the value of the dividend. I too have dividend stocks, but I'm not happy what they do around dividend time- they can fall way below the value of the dividend (two recent examples of mine are MCC and NHC- shattered ex-dividend). Dividend stocks are just another form of risk, in my opinion.
