i think the worst re Bad debts is yet to come. users who were maxed out on their limits coming into xmas were thrown a life line by increased limits. as with zips extendable repayment period the bad debt users have been able to kick that can down the road for a longer time when compared to other bnpl.
the next 6 months is seasonally high for bad debts too.
i have been pointing this out for months and my calculations late last year had zip AU having bad debts of 100M (its possible ive underestimated)
ive been battled by gops who was claiming zip only has 0.6% of ttv. wonder if hes buying the daily dip.
