Can't answer this for sure but when you look at the numbers CFG didn;t take up their rights and were holding over 5% (from memory about 36-37Mil shares) If Eddie knew that some of the bigger holder weren;t taking up their rights then he probably left it for the shortfall knowing it would be there.
I will be interested to see if Doug Jendry took up his rights a former director who had just shy of 20 mill shares pre rights as well. Unfortunately we won;t know other than trying to figure it out thru recent top 20 lists.
If Eddie had taken up more rights then he would have got close to the 20% mark, which has been mentioned. He only needed 23 mil more to get there.
They have 7 days to report the changes so will be interesting to see if we get anymore.
To be fair to Eddie he mentioned to me that he wanted other people instead of himself to put money into the company but you would have to say he still put a fair whack.
Make no mistake this company is going somewhere and the next 6 months will be very interesting on the corporate front IMO.
