re: funny how ...- 4 frank1943 Dlux. Have just re-read my post. To make it less confusing - by a 'bit better ratio' I meant a lot better than it is at present.

The ratio was one of the main reasons for buying - it just seemed so out of whack with gold.

Historically, the ratio (I will grant that there might not be a good reason for any ratio to make current sense) has always been between 10:1 and 15:1 with the past 25 years being an aberration. At least I hope that it was an aberration caused by manipulation and that manipulation might soon end.

It wasn't the only reason but I saw it, as you apparently did, as offering much more leverage.
