Such things can happen wqith online brokers...it has happened to me.
I remember one time; every order I place was automatically repeated by the system. Every time I sold say 100K shares, my account would show I sold 200K.
The same was happening when I bought...I would buy 100K shares and my account would show I was holding 200K.
On one occassion, I had effectively sold 300K shares short in a microcap...something one sghould not be able to do, yet it was done.
It was all eventually fixed...apparently a "glitch" in the system...but my online broker had to buy (and sell) on market to fix the ledger.
I saw the ORPO's go through at 1.3c and on that day, my accounts were showing a massive rice rise. It appears to me that the ORP's and their options have not been adjusted for the consolidation...the charts are showing a spike when there should not be one.
