Thanks Treggs. Hey I went to a job interview the other day for a company involved in financial markets. It would be my first job in this area. I told them I have been following the markets for years and it was the area I was most passionate about.
They told me that my problem was that I didnt have any direct experience in the industry. (I have been a mortgage broker for nine years.) I told them that I know the markets well enough and am intelligent enough that they should take me on and train me.
The guy said "ok I will put you on the spot. Where did the NASDAQ finish up last night?"
I said "Down 4.1%"
He then asked "what did the DOW do?"
I said "Down 230 points".
He raised his eyebrows a little and then went on to ask some other questions about my business experience.

I went home after the interview to check how close my calls were. The NASDAQ finished down 4.17% and the DOW was down 231.77 points.
I got a call this morning telling me I had a second interview next week. Lol.
