if it was bad news, then they would have a conclusion, and they would have announced it to the market imho.

the fact that there has been no news, means they are still talking, and that no conclusion has been reached.

the fact that they are still talking must mean that each side is still interested in negotiating a deal.

it's just the timing that has us all frustrated. But this information vacuum doesn't mean bad news - just no news.

and of course, the Board does have a lot of "skin" in the game, so they must be on the same page as us.
