Hello, just to bump this up again (and also seek confirmation that I'm researching this right)...
I saw on the Rock Stock interview from 2 weeks ago that Taso said:
- The 1080 building is where the HAMR process will be done. This should be operational by the end of the calendar year 2024, with the deoxygenation furnace arriving soon for installation. I think this is the one from LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/iperionx_after-completing-final-mechanical-assembly-activity-7175462305948729345-tc4f). This building is where the low-cost magic happens, turning scrap to either spherical or angular powder. At this stage, it will be ALL angular powder.
- The 1092 building is where the advance manufacturing will be, both additive manufacturing (spherical) and the 'forging' press process (angular). This should be operational by end April, early May (ie, around now), with most of the equipment already in and commissioned. This is both a production facility and a showcase for customers and investors. There's a focus of getting this to 3 metric tons per week over the next couple of quarters.
My questions:
Where are they getting feedstock for the advanced manufacturing in 1092 before the HAMR in 1080 is finished? Is the Utah R&D facility able to produce enough for the early off-take of 3T per week?
