Stage 4 costs paid from cash flow from remnant ore.. $15 million needed.

They can start mining stage 4 before building the sea wall.

Stage 4 seawall is not slated to start until 2Q 2013

Stage 4 mining (should have) started in February.

From my point of view, I would prefer constructing an offshore seawall, a really big one !! One that allows the underground to be accessed via open pit. The water is quite shallow for a distance from shore but the cost may be prohibitive.

Underground (as oppossed to underwater) mining is not rocket science, it has been done for years. Interested to hear what your employee has to say. What was their role on Cockatoo?
