Very frustrating. But i can understand why PLV would only request 1 week. IMO is to put pressure on other parties to get these "issues" sorted. If they were to request 4 weeks i would dare say these "other" parties would want to milk all of those 4 weeks.
End of the day it takes as long as it takes. Unfortunatly we can't do anything about it.
