GOLDENGREEN GOLD PROSPECT RETURNS ENCOURAGING ASSAY
-Shear Zone Gold Setting at Fifield NSW The Company has conducted a more detailed investigation and interpretation of old gold (Au) workings to the west of Platina-Gillenbine, an area now named “Goldengreen”.
The Company assayed sub surface rock at the entrance to one of the historic gold workings to gain some indications on the type of Au mineralisation. Initial binocular microscope examination revealed trace Au,
but the same sample when later assayed by
independent laboratory gave results that were encouraging, with assays up to 4.1g/t. This indicates the ultra fine disseminated nature of the Au, with most Au below visible detection.
The early ground magnetic survey shows a clear shear zone control on the gold mineralisation. The potential shear zone Au area identified is in excess of 300m x 200m. This appears to be important unrecognised Au potential at Fifield. Platinum had been the exclusive exploration target of modern explorers since the 1960’s.
The exploration target is disseminated Au in sheared sediments associated with mafic dykes or sills. The
shear zone disseminated Au model has been ideal for open cut mining in the Yilgarn of WA.
