thanks for your reply - I understand what you mean.
I think the difference between an investor and a trader is only the timeframe and sometimes a trade developes into an investment. Maybe you can take a higher risk per trade/investment being an investor because you have less investments then a trader has trades, but the risk MUST be acceptable and you are FORCED to do riskmanagement if you want to live in a healthy balance. No matter if you are trader or investor.
What happens to traders/Investors with far too big positions when market is against you, you could read here some months ago.
Of course you can work without stops and in case of explorers it is probably the better strategy. But then your position size must be smaller.
For example: my entry was about 900k shares at a price of 2 cts and stop zero. This means that my risk was 18.000 AUD or about 11.000 € and thats my standard risk. I can sleep well with this risk. Then I added another 450k shares at a price of 3.45 ct. Thats about 15.500 AUD more. So I had to raise the stop for not increasing the risk. It`s simple: if you use stops, you can buy more at the same risk.
Market was with me, I am in the green (and so my timeframe could be very long too) and still own some 600k shares, but be sure, I had pulled the ripcord if I had been wrong.
