Knowing the company cash position which is no secret anywhere, it's inconceivable that other big suitors interested in stem cells for their platforms, were not sniffing around for some action. That being the case, getting this stake hold at a very modest price (considering target valuations currently hawked around) with the added bonus of ROFR protection from your competitors, would be too good to refuse all things considered - if you were serious about the MSC space of course. That would definitely be my call in their position.
