look at brus trading today, look how many trades in single or double digits today, only possible by instutions because they DONT PAY TRANSACTION FEES. ordinary people,nor i should reckon long term investors play this game. its unfair and discriminatory...and i reckon ILLEGAL, BOTS activity and shorting should simply carry normal transaction fees PER TRADE. it should be an even playing field.
