A few years ago , about 10 of my power points would trip the board if anything plugged in... After 2 electricians and a few hundred dollars, we were no closer to fixing it.. So for 2 years we couldnt use certain power points, and had extension cord running from lounge into the kitchen. (I couldnt afford to get it fixed) Last year I employed an electrician for a day , 7 hours later, he found that when they built the house, a carpenter had put a nail, on the outside of a wire. Over 20 years and the nail corroded and ate into the wire so was shorting it...
Problem finally solved , and $500 poorer....
