    The use of Boron is interesting, since in a conventional fission reactions it is a 'poison' ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron_poison

    I remembered this from reading about the development of the atomic bomb, as Boron was kept at hand for injecting into early experimental reactors in the event of loss of control in order to 'kill' the reactor.
