This recent increase in inventory is very likely to be the artisanals handing in the rubies they collected when MUS didn't have any cash. We saw a big slow down in artisanal activity from June to August while MUS was running on the smell of an oily rag. The artisanals would not just have stopped working, they just would have kept back their finds until MUS was able to pay them. This is actually a great sign that the locals trusted MUS to pay them when they could, rather than selling their finds to illegal traders for needed cash.
It is sad that the locals in Mozembique living from day to day have more faith in MUS than most of the DTs here.
