Soluble fluoride salts can be precipitated with lime to produce calcium fluoride (fluospar), which is insoluble in water - would this be a practical solution to fluoride problems? Perhaps any the industrial chemists among HC posters could comment. I understand that Calcium Fluoride has uses in aluminium production, as well as many other industrial uses.
