Somebody muse with me.
Worldwide, there is approx 67 million cars produced and about 23 million commercial vehicles created every year.
Now Electric vehicles will not replace everything but lets say half of that 67 million is electric by 2025, 9 years from now.
Now somebody please correct me if I am wrong but my research tells me that theres about 300kg of graphite that goes into an EV.
Now based on 33 million cars x 300kg (0.3 tonne) that would work out to be 10 million tonnes of graphite demand.
Ive read on hc quite a bit that only a few graphite hopefuls will make it but mate at 10 million tonnes demand, that's more than 10x current demand. Surely there would be a need for a few superpits eh @Jaded
That would require 20 individual graphite companies pumping out 500kt each.
Surely there would be quite a few that make a decent profit should this come to fruition. In which my plan would be to invest in the most profitable ones.
Imo
