    The first EV's were produced in the 1890's. I don't think they are disruptive ... just a niche. The same issues that existed then exist today.

    In the case of Kodak, film was replaced with digital. Better tech without shot limits, cost or print shop infrastructure. Easy winner.

    On the other hand EV's need fast charging infrastructure and EV manufacturers, apart from Tesla, have no intention to build one.

    IMO, the easy path would be to install thousands of charge points at telegraph poles across the country, Etag for ID and charge on per minute basis until you leave. Back it up with an app to display available positions.
