BBP if it gets through its hurdles, also has the potential in the foreseeable future (next few years) to capitalize on a number of Desalination projects to be commissioned and built around Australia. Projects to be built include one in Wonthaggi, Victoria to be built and completed by the end of 2011, and one in Western Australia and New South Wales. These all require a huge capacity amount of baseload electricity to be supplied off the grid from 90 Megawatts Plus.
