gross portfolio has increased 53% :) then you take away expenses and voila you have the investor return... a whopping 19% over 4 years. Or a mere ~4% pa compounded for the investor... not much different from putting money into a term deposit.
My personal brokerage expenses per year (set at $17 per $30k trade) outstrip WAA's total brokerage expense per year. They need to be more active to justify the expenses they rack up. But indeed relative to most managed funds, they are light years ahead in terms of performance..
