I would normally agree with your first paragraph when the SP is stable and everything is tickety boo with the company but everything isn't tickety boo. It's potentially calamitous.
The SP of BVS crashed on the FY results that whilst were not great weren't that bad either. Ever since then The SP has been as volatile as a penny dreadful stock and generally on a downward trajectory and is totally at the mercy of shorters and they ain't going anywhere until there's a reason to leave. For crying out loud the SP was nearly $6 a year ago and now it's heading towards $2. Under any circumstances the SP of BVS should not be anywhere near $3.
Meanwhile, management have been totally MIA whilst this has been happening when all it takes is a simple letter to shareholders to keep them appraised of what is happening, good, bad or otherwise. In fact I believe they have an obligation to do so. After all, we own the company. We deserve an explanation from management as to why they believe the SP is getting smashed and what they're going to do about it.
I don't expect them to have all the answers but something is needed to bring some stability to the SP and confidence back in the company. A stock such as this should not be this volatile. I can guarantee that their biggest investors would be demanding answers too. Anyway, we'll find out all in a couple of days but if they drop a lot of bad news that they could have released earlier it will be a bloodbath. GLTAH.
