BMW have put their money on the table so will use SGL, which in the opinion of QHL CEO, has a number of difficulties with its process.
IF Audi can produce better quality and at a cheaper price, wouldn't you expect some of the other players to change ship?
It's not rocket science, just good business sense.
SGL started a VJ with BMW back in 2009 when there was no QHL.
They may wish they had held off. QHL have been talking with European car manufacturers and sending demonstration parts for testing in the harshest conditions and they passed all the criteria required. Audi were/are impressed.
The SGL:BMW JV announcement just puts the spotlight on carbon fibre technology.
The automotive side is only 1 string to the bow for QHL.
I'll let time prove me right. Happy to hold and added more today.
