Good analogy.
Live in the area spoke to local real estate agent in Maitland who told me he has sold all his vacant blocks and homes in local area. Apparently the majority of buyers he said were miners looking to work for Rex. Apparently those who apply for jobs and live in the close vicinity (tier 1) get priority .
There is a crushing plant near where the road diversion will occur and a few mounds of crushed stone but as of yet no road works have commenced.
The spruik is that construction will start next year I just hope a recession or a downturn in the Chinese economy doesn’t have potential joint venture investors deciding it’s too risky.
