Recent changes at the top of the Future Fund, draws attention to the massive sell down by the fund over the last few years of their holding in Telstra. This sell off and undermining of the value of Telstra shares, went beyond any common understanding, where every shareholder was questioning the logic of their persistent policy.
IMO a commission of inquiry should be demanded by the Opposition, to investigate the reasons for such a large and persistent selling of Telstra shares, over such a concentrated period of time, whilst the NBN proposal was being put together by the Government.
The Inquiry should consider and estimate the financial loss generated by the Future Fund actions, and acertain and make public the reasons for their policy.
