Fact --and as a Baby Boomer and University Graduate I will say this
Don't make stupid statements without facts
Don't get trapped in an ideology sprouting illogical arguments
Think with an open mind--
Fact --there is not enough copper both discovered as well as above ground to get to 100% renewables by 2050 --NOT going to happen.
Fact--the same applies for cobalt, Silver , Vanadium etc.
Fact most mines take 12-16 years from discovery to build and production
Fact more countries are nationalizing their resources especially copper and silver and that is having a severe impact on production
Fact with the dramatic increase in AI --the Gigawatts of electricity required will require, Renewables, Nuclear , Oil and Gas and on current modelling coal and that includes Base Load power
Fact Mining is a dirty business and many countries DO Not have environmental standards or wage pressures in their cost mix
Fact the dirtiest mining business in the world is Rare Earth mining
I own Nuclear, Rare Earths, Copper, Nickel, Lithium, silver and Graphite miners because I recognize these constraints
