@schneed Don't worry - most of the drop was due to a blanket sell-off of energy stocks on the back of the oil price war news. IFN is not keyed into oil prices like other energy companies so this will pass IMHO. Prices dropping for oil based energy production compresses the margins for the competition but the electricity prices don't drop in Australia when that happens as we use coal, gas and renewables in the main.
Fuel prices dropping helps our economy for the most part. Transport fuel is cheaper, mining costs go down, freight costs drop, plastic is cheaper, etc.
I was away this weekend but will have a good look at this tomorrow for a top-up in what is, IMHO, a defensive stock.
