There is a lot to love - but I agree with you that we need to be wary in these changing times.

I will be running the ruler over the March production announcement and doing an extrapolation to see how it might effect final numbers for FY20.
If the energy use has dropped significantly then the final number may product a drop in the short term which of course will be an opportunity for those who are prepared.

The market only seems to look at high level numbers so there is a chance to use that for more intimately aware holders.
The market also still seems to seem IFN as an oil-price sensitive producer - go figure. The only sensitivity I see is if the market price was highly sensitive but the effects are secondary at best.

I think the use of data in Australia and internet power use will be a hedge for prices in general.

We are also heading into winter so heating costs will probably hedge the price as well. With more people heating (inefficiently) their homes there may be an increase in power use compared to normal. Large and newer buildings with good insulation and low surface to volume ratios can be heated more efficiently. They can also get better deals on the electricity they use. Home owners tend to pay through the nose.
There are a lot of gas heating scenarios but people may be like us and have reverse cycle aircon for heating as well as gas for larger loads.

Interested on people's thoughts on this aspect.

Interesting times for sure (as in the curse proverb).
